a-blurred-city

errands - i hate them.
running all the time.
but this'll be quick, i won't take long.
quick down arch.
quick cross the street.
quick into the dry cleaners.

okay now the market.
-- i don't think they really got that stain out.
but wait, okay, focus...
apples, milk, some kind of soup for dinner.
okay here we go.
don't forget.
> i hate these automatic doors.
> they never open fast enough.
but wait!
don't forget.
apples. milk. soup for dinner.

and now, to work.
paychecks are in!
don't be hopeful.
i always think it'll be more than it is.
pick a low number this time.
...hey, i have that shirt...
but a low number.
so this time i can be excited and surprised.
low - low - low -
let's say... 350.
oh dear god, i hope it's higher than that.
rent is due in three days.
i need a new job. but okay, here goes.

and one last stop.
straight to the bank.
gotta make it before four.
...who ever said it was okay for banks to close at four?
if i had a bank, i would be open til at least 8.
i don't see a problem with that...
oh no, look down.
angry customer from the other day.
i should have just let her return the shirt.
why did i really care.
okay, she crossed the street.
and there's the bank.
just one more errand. one more stop.
then i'm home free.

dammit i forgot the soup!!
